SJC Content is proud to announce two 2021 PAC Canada Awards for its package design for Metro’s Selection private label products. The Packaging Association of Canada (PAC) recognizes the best in packaging, innovation and talent while inspiring structural design and branding. Its annual award program celebrates craftsmanship in brand package design with a vision to showcase the power of packaging.

Through thoughtful design and the use of recycled (and recyclable!) materials, SJC Content created environmentally conscious package designs that stand out on-shelf.

Here’s an overview of the award-winning work:

“Through the use of bright, impactful colour, simple graphic illustrations and typography, we created a program that competes more aggressively on shelf while facilitating easier navigation for the consumer. Colour coding is consistent with the category. A clear callout of the fat content attracts consumers’ eyes and makes for easier purchase decisions while strengthening the feeling of naturality and authenticity in a unique way. The result is a stronger impact on-shelf that will attract more consumers and invite increased trial.”

“Flat, graphic illustrations help stage a minimalist, impactful and contemporary visual on a unique bottle shape. Playing with transparency creates a clean and fresh design and the bubbles offer the added benefit of flavour navigation while highlighting the product’s carbonation. The unique shape and colour of the recycled bottle stands out on shelf. A disruptive, visible icon was created to clearly communicate the recycled and recyclable properties of the bottle.”
