April 11, 2024 (Toronto, ON) -  Maclean's, named Best News & Business Magazine at the 2023 National Magazine Awards, revealed today its annual Power List, spotlighting the 100 Canadians shaping our nation's future. From Hollywood star (and businessperson) Ryan Reynolds to teenage climate activist Sophia Mathur, the list highlights the country's most impactful leaders and pressing issues.

The 2024 Power List is organized by 10 topics including education, politics, sports and arts & culture, as well as important issues such as AI, climate and housing.

“The list highlights not only household names but the rising stars and change-makers who are shaping the country,” says Sarah Fulford, Maclean’s editor-in-chief. “The result of months of debate and research, the list was handpicked by our team of editors, who watch the country closely, keep track of the people dominating the headlines and think deeply about what matters to Canada now."

For the first time, the Power List includes a climate category, with 10 leaders including activist Sophia Mathur, GoBolt CEO and founder Mark Ang and federal environment minister Steven Guilbeault.
