SJC has extended its streak as a Platinum Club winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, marking 19 straight years of recognition. New and requalifiying winners were announced on May 10, 2022.
Canada’s leading business awards program, Best Managed Companies recognizes excellence among private Canadian-owned companies. Applicants complete a rigorous application process each year, scored on management abilities and practices across four pillars: strategy, culture and commitment, capabilities and innovation, and governance and financials.
“Our resilience through the last year, including our multiple accomplishments, were only made possible through our associates working together; within teams, across teams, across divisions and alongside our valued customers,” says SJC Chairman & CEO Tony Gagliano. “Our values and guiding principles are never more important than in challenging times.”
SJC was first named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies in 2003. Following six consecutive years of recognition, companies can apply for Platinum member status through an annual requalification process. Now on the Platinum list for Canada’s 2022 Best Managed Companies, SJC has been a Platinum Club member for the last 13 years.
“The 2022 Best Managed winners have demonstrated an exceptional ability to identify lucrative opportunities and successfully adapt to new situations, leveraging industry-leading competencies to maximize their investments and drive sustainable growth,” said Lorrie King, National Co-Leader of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program and Partner, Deloitte Private. “Over the past year, these companies displayed a forging-forward mentality that enabled them to weather challenges and explore new avenues for advancement. They exemplify the resilience and innovative business practices that are necessary as the Canadian and global business environments continue to change rapidly.”
Congratulations to all 2022 recipients.
