The applications period for the 2022 Giuseppina Gagliano Family Wellness Grant is now open.

This National Giving Tuesday, SJC is excited to once again open applications for its Giuseppina Gagliano Family Wellness Grant. The recipient will receive a $2,000 donation and a full-page ad in the charity’s choice of SJC Media magazine (valued up to $28,000).
Earlier this year, we announced our inaugural recipient: the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society of Canada (Caring Society). The Caring Society champions culturally based equity for First Nations children and their families so that they can grow up safely at home, be healthy, achieve their dreams, celebrate their languages and culture, and be proud of who they are. Below is their ad appearing in the December issue of Maclean’s.
The Grant’s namesake, Giuseppina, was an immigrant, a woman of unwavering faith, a mother of 10 children and an integral part of SJC’s humble beginnings alongside her husband, SJC founder Gaetano Gagliano. Through the Grant, SJC pays tribute to its strong family roots and helps to support children and families, in particular amidst the last two challenging years.
The Grant is open to Canadian registered charities that support family well-being, including but not limited to, shelter, physical health, mental health, education, childcare and financial stability.
