Châtelaine has launched Sur Invitation, a new conversation series that brings the brand's signature portraits of remarkable women into a new format. The series opens with an in-depth conversation with Quebec Premier Christine Fréchette.
Hosted by Châtelaine editor-in-chief Camille Cardin-Goyer, Sur Invitation creates space for candid, wide-ranging conversations in which the personal and the public intersect. Each episode goes beyond the headlines to explore the experiences, convictions and ideas that shape its guests.
With a combined print and digital audience of more than one million French-speaking Canadians, Châtelaine has long held a distinct place in Quebec media.
“With Sur Invitation, we wanted to build on that relationship with our audience and create a more intimate space for the kinds of conversations we don’t often get to hear,” says Cardin-Goyer.
Recorded before the start of the Quebec election campaign, the first episode explores both the personal and political dimensions of Premier Fréchette. She reflects on the vibrant arts and culture scene of 1970s Quebec that helped shape her early ideas about freedom, before turning to issues that continue to resonate today, including gender equality, the rise of masculinist movements and the fight against violence against women.
For SJC Media, the launch adds audio and video to a brand that already connects with readers through a quarterly print edition, website, three newsletters, social channels and events. It also builds on Châtelaine's commitment to in-depth reporting on the issues that matter to Quebec women and the people shaping the province.
