Last month, Amazon Canada partnered with Maclean's and Toronto Life to host an exclusive thought leadership forum produced by Wonder, SJC Media’s experiential marketing arm.
Held at the TOOR Hotel in Toronto, the event brought together an audience of industry innovators and decision-makers from technology, business, responsible AI and economic research to explore a critical question shaping today's corporate landscape: How are artificial intelligence and robotics reshaping the future of work?
The event kicked off with a networking reception and a special entertainment presentation featuring a captivating live drag performance by the celebrated local artist Van Goth, the season 6 winner of Canada’s Drag Race, marking Pride Month.

The evening then turned to the thought-leadership component: a panel discussion featuring a powerhouse lineup of innovators. Jason Maghanoy, publisher of Maclean’s and Toronto Life, moderated the insightful conversation with Tonya Hallett, vice-president, People eXperience & Technology, Amazon Worldwide Stores & G&A; Tomi Gbeleyi, enterprise GTM executive; Diya Wynn, principal, Responsible AI at AWS; and Viet Vu, manager of economic research at The Dais. They examined how the intersection of AI and robotics is actively transforming workforce dynamics, driving operational efficiency and requiring progressive new frameworks for economic and responsible AI research.

From Live Event to Multi-Channel Storytelling
The conversation didn't end when the panel did. Wonder events extend into editorial coverage across SJC Media brands, in this case Maclean's and Toronto Life, carrying the ideas to millions of engaged readers in trusted environments. For brands, that's the value of a premium experiential partnership: an evening of thought leadership becomes lasting, multi-platform storytelling anchored in editorial credibility.
