In 2022, SJC introduced Genesis to the wonders of virtual production for the social launch of its Genesis GV60 model. From saving travel costs and changing your environment on the fly to taking advantage of real-world lighting and reducing your carbon footprint, virtual production offers many benefits for brands.

SJC worked with the Oscar and Emmy-award winning virtual production company Pixomondo to shoot the entire spot in the studio during the winter’s coldest, snowy period. (As you can see in the final spot, there is no snow to be seen!)

After this successful launch, Genesis approached our team to repurpose the assets for an experiential activation at Toronto Pearson Airport. Working with Genesis and the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) team, we adapted the virtual background for a massive LED screen. As travellers head from the parkade into the terminal, they step onto a moving walkway that leads to the new Genesis GV60 set against an electrical storm — a striking environment to showcase the automaker's first dedicated EV model.Check out our behind-the-scenes and a real-life capture from one of our associates on a recent trip through Pearson.
