General Overview:

The Manager of Finance, Corporate will report directly to the Corporate Vice President, Finance. Role is based in the head office of SJC and is involved with FP&A, accounting, treasury and tax. This position is an integral part of the Corporate Finance Team and the incumbent will have great growth potential and upward mobility. Excellent opportunity for someone interested in the exposure to a broad array of Corporate Finance activities while developing depth in various areas including:

  • Monthly close and consolidation
  • Corporate financial planning & analysis including budgeting, forecasting, and various modelling
  • Corporate Office accounting and management
  • Coaching and developing team members
  • Accounting analysis and memos, forming positions to support enterprise strategy and audit
  • Consolidated financial statements (annual – audited; monthly – banking compliance)
  • Transfer pricing and intercompany transactions
  • Annual audit co-ordination and support
  • Legal entity accounting and financial statements for tax and compliance
  • Treasury and debt financing compliance with bank covenants and field audits
  • Compliance with government agencies to ensure the company is in good standing
  • Monthly borrowing base calculation and banking compliance
  • Cash and cashflow management and banking
  • Related party transactions with shareholders, noteholders and affiliated companies
  • Shareholder management
  • Additional analysis / support on an as-needed basis

Qualifications:

  • CPA, CA with 4+ years of experience
  • Strong analytical and technical skills (GAAP, Finance, Income Tax, Modelling, MS Excel)
  • Strong communication skills – written (PowerPoint decks, memos, etc.) and verbal (presentations, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with working with many different departments
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
