Reporting into the VP and GM, the Account Executive will increase sales with new business prospects and growing business with existing clients. This position is located in Concord, Ontario.
The overall role:
You will be joining SJC Print to sell: you will maintain and grow existing customers, you will find new customers and you will stay on the forefront of our industry and client needs to make recommendations that amaze our customers and improve their results.
How will you do this? You will:
- Have sales targets
- Attend networking events, build and expand industry contacts, research on social media and do some cold calling
- Take ownership of accounts throughout the complete manufacturing process with a high level of service, responding promptly to requests for quotation, delivery and after-sale service, and introducing new products where possible
- Ensure understanding of client marketing objectives
- Proactively assess and resolve client opportunities to provide solutions, grow opportunities and mitigate risk
- Provide clients with reporting and performance insights
- Analyze the market, sales prospects, and ongoing negotiations for continuous improvement and you will report on these elements to review with the team
- You will attend all press approvals
- Conduct pre-production and post mortem meetings for continuous improvement and learning
- Ensure the details are correct working with Finance and our RFP writer on Quote letters, Confirmation of Orders, Dockets, Revisions, invoicing and any other information important to our customers
- Continue to develop professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional associations
What do you bring?
- Post-secondary degree (e.g., Commerce, Marketing, Communication etc.)
- Minimum five years’ experience in successful Print/Statement/Direct Mail Sales capacity
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as Google / Gmail
- Must be self-motivated, work with minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience overseeing print programs within integrated marketing campaigns
- Experience in an agency environment is strongly desired
- Strong Presentation skills – able to present company credentials to clients
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities – able to prepare clear, concise business documents
- Superior time management, organizational and planning skills
- Detail-orientated, self-motivated, flexible and able to work independently
- A comprehensive understanding of client business goals, strategic initiatives and the ability to develop best-in-category deliverables that represent the client’s needs
- Must pass criminal and financial background check
