New MAN ROTOMAN S presses
In 2006, St. Joseph Print’s Concord facility became home to new web heatset printing presses - part of a $40 million pressroom revitalization program designed to strengthen St. Joseph’s competitive position and to increase its current capacity.
The investment included three new MAN ROTOMAN S web heatset presses: an eight-unit 48-page press, a six-unit 16-page press, and a four-unit 16-page press.
MAN is the world’s second largest printing press manufacturer and the world’s market leader in web press and newspaper printing technology. Equipped with special features that include high-speed automation components, waste reduction elements, and advanced colour technology, the presses provide a superior quality product and will improve efficiency for use in both short and long run publication and commercial web print markets.
This important strategic investment sets the stage for St. Joseph Print’s next 10 to 12 years of business growth, transforming an already advanced production facility into one of the most sophisticated and efficient
in North America.
