St. Joseph CEO receives honorary doctorate from Ryerson University

June 18, 2010 - Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management presented Tony Gagliano, Executive Chairman and CEO of St. Joseph Communications, with an honorary doctorate.

This degree is awarded to a candidate who has made an extraordinary contribution to Canadian society, to the development of Ryerson University or the betterment of culture, society and the local community.

In his address to the graduating class, Tony recognized the important milestones in his life, including building St. Joseph Communications and co-founding Luminato, Toronto’s Festival of Arts and Creativity.

Tony’s father and St. Joseph’s founder, Gaetano Gagliano, also received an honorary doctorate from Ryerson in 1998. This marks the first time in Ryerson’s history that both a father and son have received this special honour.
